Easy yet Effective Ways to Potty Train your Puppy
Given that potty training is a continuous method, I have divided this article into two weeks.
The first week is where the potty magic occurs and the second is where one week’s consistency begins to pay off. Here are five easy yet effective ways to potty train your puppy.
The first week is when you watch your pup like a hawk and make sure you act before accidents. You must know where your pup is all the time during the first week.
1. All the time pay attention to your puppy
Whether the saying goes, a quiet little puppy is trouble. Whether he gets into the trash, eats your fresh shoes or poops in the corner, a quiet little puppy is a problem. You will need to watch your pup at all times, including every moment they wind down, if you want to avoid accidents before they occur. Only one accident is required to restore your training. I understand that it is not precisely enjoyable to watch your puppy non-stop, but it works so well to capture them before an incident. You can use a leash if it becomes problematic to keep an eye on your puppy.
2. Never leave your puppy unattended
Your task is to be there when house training your puppy to avoid accidents. Would your dog have an accident, you know? When you don’t look him. You can do little that makes sense following an incident with your dog and you missed an significant lesson on training. If they pee inside, don’t punish your dog. Whatever the old ideas, penalty is not a nice house training decision. The reality is yelling at your dog will just confuse him and make him nervous. You can attempt to get his attention and move him outdoors if you take your action. When you succeed, when you get outside, you praise them nicely. In the house your pup will have an accident or two it doesn’t get around. What you can do is prevent more from them.
3. Learn to let your puppy outside on hourly basis
If you ever wonder why some individuals decide to get fresh puppies during the summer, or when they’re on holiday, it’s likely related to potty training. If you have trained a dog at home before you realize how much time and dedication it takes to get them outside every hour. But it is the easiest way for you to stop any accident from happening.
4. Praise your puppy
Your dog must be celebrated every time it pees or poops outside. Talk to them nicely or give a treat to them. Jump up and down, pull their heads and remember how great this choice was. Yes, it may look stupid, but you must understand that your dog has accomplished the greatest thing ever. When you praise your puppy constantly for going outside potty, they begin to realize that it is the right choice, and it makes it really enjoyable.
5. Keep watching the signals and praise him
During the second week don’t get lazy with praise. Every time he pees or poops outside you want your dog to be the proudest creature on earth. Yes, after a while, it seems stupid, and perhaps even slightly creepy when your dog looks at you, but be assured that you that you are passing the message on.
